Exciting filly Melted scored a dominant win at Caulfield today and looks like a successful Spring campaign is on the cards.

A daughter of the mighty Redoute’s Choice out of a top line race mare Raspberry Ripple looked the winner a long way out when perfectly positioned in the run by stable jockey Brent Stanley. She enjoyed a lovely trail in transit and was brought into the race at the ideal moment and swooped down the outside to record an impressive victory from Jalsah 1 -1/4 lengths away and Daughter of Fortune 3rd.

Brent was particularly happy with the way she relaxed and the impressive turn of foot she displayed at the end of the race and he believes there is still plenty of improvement to come from within.

Congratulations to fantastic owners Ron and Deb Gilbert from Highgrove Stud who gave us the filly to train after it was passed in for $300,000 at the sales.

She will more than likely tackle the G1 1000 Guineas now and hopefully progress to theVRC Oaks.
