HIGHGROVE OFFERS TWO LOTS AT THE CLASSIC SALES

ANZ Bloodstock News

Highgrove offered two lots yesterday at the Sydney Inglis Classic Yearling Sale Summer Book, with both selling including Lot 300, a colt by Street Sense (Street Cry), who sold to Rick Worthington and John Hutchinson’s Scone Bloodstock Services for $110,000.

Highgrove’s Ron Gilbert, who was selling at the sale again for the first time in ten years, was pleased with the new format of the sale and his decision on his consignment,

The two day selling format worked well for purchasers and vendors. I made a decision to bring well grown strong colts to the Classic sale and it seems as though that is what the buying bench was generally looking for.

“Those type of colts were well viewed and competition was strong on them. The fillies market was a lot softer unless you had an outstanding type with a nice page.”

The colt is out of the Group Three winner Hinting (Danzero), who was second in the Thousand Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m), and is already the dam of two winners.
