Wanted's brilliant return to Racing
10 September 2009
There was a double celebration at Ron Gilbert’s Highgrove Stud in Queensland with Wanted’s brilliant return to racing as a 3yr old when running a close second to the unbeaten Black Caviar in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes at Flemington last Saturday.
Only days earlier, a very attractive bay colt was born at Highgrove by Fastnet Rock, from the Snippets mare Fragmentation, making him a full brother to Wanted, who has already claimed a Group 3 when winning the Kindergarten Stakes as a 2yr old. With trainer Peter Moody suggesting Wanted will be very hard to beat in whatever race he contests during the spring, guarantees that this foal will have plenty of interest when eventually offered for sale.
